About ALittleTrinket

Sales 3,492
On Etsy since 2013
Video summary: I really do make each glass bead myself! I melt glass rods in a gas flame and shape the beads. The decoration is added in the flame too, here you can see me putting white dots on to a blue bead.

Colourful and handmade because I love it, for sale because I can't keep it all!

Some people are drawn to shiny things, for me its colour. That's why I love working with glass, anodised aluminium, polymer clay, even fordite! If you browse around A Little Trinket, you'll see what I mean (there's some shiny silver in there too...)

Frequently asked questions

Wholesale availability

I am happy to discuss wholesale availability with you, just drop me a line and we'll start chatting

Custom and personalised orders

I'd love to create something unique especially for you. Just get in touch and we can discuss the options.

Light Pull Sizes

I make two sizes of light pull - Standard (approximately 4cm) and Extra Large (approximately 6cm).

The measurement is taken from top to bottom and the pulls will not be smaller than 40mm (1.57 inches) or 60mm (2.35 inches) but they will not be significantly larger either.

If you require a pull larger than 6cm please get in touch to request a custom order.

What is Niobium?

Niobium is an element (formerly known as Colombium) which can be anodised, and therefore coloured, just like Aluminium. It is light and strong which is important for jewellery but possibly more important is that it is hypoallergenic. This makes it suitable for those with sensitivity to other metals.

What is Anodised Aluminium?

Aluminium (or Aluminum if you prefer) can be anodised by submerging it in acid and subjecting to an electrical current. This results in a microscopic, almost honeycomb surface. Colour added to that surface is sealing into the chambers with heat and the result is permanently coloured metal - The colours you see on my anodised Aluminium cannot wash or rub off.
Aluminium is extremely light which makes is perfect for comfortable jewellery. It cannot be soldered, like Silver for example, so you will find items like my Pansy Stud earrings can be separated into the studs (Sterling Silver or Niobium) and the anodised Aluminium flower. This means you can wear the studs alone if you wish - two pairs for the price of one!

Marking an order as a gift vs selecting gift wrap

When you mark an item as a gift on Etsy there will be a gift receipt in the package. This does not show the price but it does give you the option to add a message to the recipient. Use this option if you are having an order sent DIRECT to the recipient.

Marking an item as a gift DOES NOT add gift wrapping to you order (I do package all orders nicely, in a way I'd be happy to receive as a gift).

If you would like your order to be gift wrapped then make sure you ADD the gift wrapping option to your order. I'll wrap the item, write any message you add on the tag and then package it carefully. If the wrapped package to be sent TO YOU I will still include a packing slip (as you'll want to know what's in all the parcels you've received!)
